World Red Cross Day Celebration in Manipur: A Month of Compassion and Community Spirit
The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch, recently observed World Red Cross Day with great enthusiasm and a series of impactful events. The celebration spanned an entire month, bringing together volunteers, community members, and distinguished guests to honor the spirit of humanitarian service.

Acknowledging Selfless Efforts
In the Governor’s address, Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikeyacknowledged the unwavering commitment of IRCS, Manipur’s volunteers and team members. She emphasized that during times of need, they had consistently stepped forward to extend their support to the community. The dynamic leadership of Shri Narendra Ningomba, Chairperson of IRCS, Manipur State Branch, was also recognized for his continuous dedication.
Generosity and Support
Governor Uikey’s generosity knew no bounds. She donated Rs. 1,50,000 and gifted an ambulance to IRCS, Senapati District Branch, reinforcing the organization’s ability to serve those in need.
Inaugural Launch and Releases:
The Governor had launched the website of the Indian Red Cross Society Manipur as well as released the Souvenir at the event.

The event also celebrated the winners of various competitions, highlighting their talent and dedication. The program concluded with captivating cultural performances, showcasing Manipur’s vibrant heritage.
