Workshop on Emergency Response Capacity Building conducted
To strengthen our volunteers during Emergencies, the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, organized a Four-Day Workshop on Emergency Response Capacity Building at its conference hall from November 6th to 9th, 2024. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Parag Borkar, Movement Cooperation Coordinator, ICRC ( India, Nepal, Bhutan & Maldives delegation), and Athokpam Nabachandra, Honorary General Secretary of the State Branch. The workshop covered many topics Red Cross Movement, Rapid Assessment, Search & Rescue, Relief Camp & Shelter Management, Restoring Family Links, WASH and Safer Access Framework, etc. Dr. Thokchom Bankimchandra (Master Trainer) gave training on First Aid. Volunteers of Bishnupur, Imphal East, Imphal West, Kakching, Kamjong, Noney, Thoubal, and Ukhrul District Branches attended the workshop. Dr. RK. Nimai, Vice President of the State Branch also participated in the Valedictory function, and certificates were given to the volunteers. The workshop was supported by the Indian Red Cross Society, National Headquarters, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
