The Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch felicitated the District Branches, and Volunteers who have contributed to the recent Flood Responses in Manipur.
The Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, felicitated 5 District Branches with Mementoes and Appreciation certificates for the recent flood response in September 2025. The State Branch also felicitated the volunteers of these districts with Appreciation Certificates. The program was attended by Shri Dr RK. Nimai Singh (IAS Retd.), Vice President of IRCS, Manipur State Branch, as Chief Guest; Shri Narendra Ningomba, Chairman, IRCS, MSB, as President; Dr Y Mohen Singh, former Chairman of IRCS, MSB and Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East, as Guests of Honour of the formal function. Shri Athokpam Nabachandra, Honorary General Secretary of IRCS, MSB, gave a welcome and keynote address. Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam thanked the volunteers for the services provided during the last flood and for providing Ambulance Services to the community. She also appeals to create awareness for social responsibilities among the youth of the society to participate in response to disasters like floods. Dr RK. Nimai Singh mentioned the importance of enrolling younger volunteers, giving training, and fundamental principles of the Red Cross. Shri Narendra Ningomba mentioned the necessity of support from the Deputy Commissioners. Shri Naoroibam Premjit Singh, Treasurer of IRCS, MSB, gave a vote of thanks for the program. The program concluded with a Grand Feast.
