IRCS Manipur State Branch Hosts State Level Painting Competition
In honor of World Red Cross Day 2024, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch, illuminated the spirit of compassion and creativity by organizing a State Level Painting Competition. Held at the heart of Imphal, MG Avenue, the event witnessed the vibrant participation of 70 students, echoing the fervor and enthusiasm of the occasion.
The competition, structured into Junior Red Cross (JRC) and Youth Red Cross (YRC) categories, provided a platform for budding artists to express their interpretations of humanitarianism and resilience through the strokes of their brushes.
In the JRC category, young talents shone brightly, with Bikram Lourembam, Angela Heikrujam, and Presila Heikrujam emerging as the deserving winners, captivating hearts with their poignant artworks. Their pieces not only showcased artistic prowess but also conveyed messages of hope and solidarity, embodying the ethos of the Red Cross movement.
Equally commendable were the participants in the YRC category, whose ingenuity and imagination left a lasting impression. Oinam Suraj Singh, Diamond Thokchom, and Laishram Bidyaluxmi Devi exhibited remarkable skill and creativity, painting narratives of resilience and unity that resonated deeply with the audience.
