Providing First Aid training and Ambulance service is one of the regular activities of the Indian Red Cross Society. Our objective is to save human lives and reduce human casualties. IRCS, Senapati District Branch used to provide first aid in any accident along the NH 2 in and around Senapati district. During the recent conflict, the District Branch was also providing emergency services to many casualties. This was a big challenge for the branch as they don’t have an Ambulance of their own.
Acknowledging the difficulties faced by the District Branch, the President of IRCS, Manipur State Branch, and Governor of Manipur, Miss Anusuiya Uikey donated one Ambulance to IRCS, Senapati District Branch. The Ambulance was flag off by the Honorable Governor of Manipur on 26th June 2024 from Raj Bhavan, Imphal. This will help the branch provide service to the district’s casualties and needy communities. Also, the volunteers of the District Branch are motivated to have their Ambulance.
