COVID Awareness and First Aid Training Initiative by IRCS, Manipur State Branch
On the 19th of February 2022, a significant event unfolded at Khundrakpam Public School in Imphal East—an insightful and impactful COVID AWARENESS cum First Aid training programme. This initiative, spearheaded by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch, aimed to empower individuals with essential knowledge about COVID-19 prevention and first aid practices.
The program went beyond the traditional boundaries of awareness sessions by incorporating a hands-on approach. Participants were not only educated about the importance of hygiene, safety protocols, and first aid techniques but were also actively engaged in practical demonstrations to enhance their understanding and proficiency.
As a commendable extension of their commitment to community welfare, the organizers took an additional step by distributing hygiene kits to local underprivileged families. This thoughtful gesture not only emphasized the significance of personal hygiene but also addressed the immediate needs of those who may face challenges in accessing such essentials.
The Khundrakpam Public School served as a hub for knowledge dissemination and community outreach during this event. The collaborative efforts of the IRCS, Manipur State Branch, and the proactive participation of the local community made this COVID AWARENESS cum First Aid training programme a resounding success, leaving a positive impact on the lives of those involved. Such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a health-conscious and resilient society, particularly in the face of challenging times like the ongoing global pandemic.
