The Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch observed One Month-long World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2025
The Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, observed a one-month-long World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2025 along with the District Branches on 8th May 2025. On 12th April 2025, the State Branch organized the Emblem Dissemination Campaign in Imphal East and Imphal West along with volunteers of the two District Branches. Hygiene kits and Tarpaulins were distributed to the IDPs in the relief camps as part of the observation. The District Branches organized the district-level competitions in Recitation, Written Quiz, Ex-tempore speech, Painting, and Folk song. On 27th April 2025, the State Branch organized the state-level competitions for the district-level winners in these five events. The District Branches organized the Voluntary Blood Donation Program on various dates. The State Branch also organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Program on 1st May 2025. On 8th May 2025, the State Branch observed World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2025. Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Hon’ble Governor of Manipur & President of the State Branch, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Dr. RK. Nimai Singh, IAS (Retd.) & Vice President of the State Branch graced the program as President. Certificates were distributed to newly enrolled Patron & Vice Patrons of the State Branch. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the state-level competitions on this auspicious day by the Chief Guest and President of the program.
