Youth Red Cross Units were inaugurated at Saraswati Institute of Management and Paramedical Sciences, Pangei, Imphal East and conducted Blood Donation Program
Two Units of the Youth Red Cross were inaugurated at the Saraswati Institute of Management and Paramedical Sciences, Pangei, Imphal East on 28th May 2025. The Inaugural Program was attended by Mr. Plus Phijam, Chairman of the Institute, Mr. Narendra Ningomba, Chairman, IRCS, Manipur State Branch, and Athokpam Nabachandra, General Secretary, IRCS, Manipur State Branch, as President, Chief Guest, and Guest of Honor, respectively. The faculty members and students of many Branches of the Institute also attended. Mr. Athokpam Nabachandra talked about History, Fundamental Principles, Components, Emblems, and structures of IRCS. Mr. Narendra Ningomba talked about Voluntary Blood Donation. The Chief Guest declared the opening of the Youth Red Cross Units, and the Guest of Honor took the YRC Oath.
On the next day, i.e., 29th May 2025, a Voluntary Blood Donation Program was conducted in the Institute along with Blood Centre, JNIMS, Porompat, Imphal. Altogether, 20 students and faculty members donated blood, and certificates were distributed to the donors.
